This course is aimed at students who have attended courses at an advanced level and wish to take their photography one step further. In addition, there will be a brand new range of topics covered each week, these will include the following. As ever, a degree of flexibility is built into each course.

  • Photoshop - what's new in the latest versions and how to use it to make a big difference to your images
  • Sports photography
  • Low light photography
  • Street Photography
  • Portraiture - the importance of pose
  • Light trails
  • Product/food photography
  • Performance photography*
  • Artistic nude*
  • Creative studio lighting

* These options would incur an additional charge and would only form part of the course if the entire class is in agreement.

FAQs

Will I need to buy expensive software?

No. The course uses Adobe Photoshop Elements, an affordable programme which is initially available as a free download. Your tutor will advise you on which package is best suited to your requirements.

Will I need to buy an expensive camera?

No. However, students whose cameras cannot shoot in raw or have shutter and aperture priority will be at a disadvantage.

Do I need anything else?

Although it’s not compulsory, you will find it useful to have access to a tripod.
